The Super Cub was introduced in 1949 and more than
9,000 were built during its 40 year production run.  In
civilian applications it is often used for bush flying, in that
capacity it has undergone many “on-site” modifications.
Only a short runway is required for it to land/take-off.
The military designation of this aircraft was L-18C.
